About the Course

A course designed specifically for teacher educators and resource persons who are involved in teacher training. The prime objective of the long-term course is to introduce modern approaches and research, to bring out the relationship between different components of elementary math curriculum and to improve teaching techniques and subject matter knowledge of the participants. Writt en assignments is an opportunity to thoroughly study and reflect upon the reading material. Classroom videos showing live learning processes of children will also be provided during this course. There will be assignments based on pedagogical analysis of these videos. The participants will get an experience of teaching all the important concepts of primary level math curriculum to children through practicum. Guidance on how to use model unit plans effecti vely will also be provided. After completing this course, the participants will be able to organise short training sessions for teachers using provided videos and study material.
